BANG! is made by fans, for fans.
Organized in partnership by the City of Vila Nova de Gaia, Moléculas ao Rubro and Saída de Emergência publishing house, the festival is free, but some activities require prior registration.
From 4th to 6th July, the Corpus Christi space, Armazém22, Caves Ramos Pinto, Gaia Pier and 7G Roaster, in Vila Nova de Gaia, will host more than 30 figures from pop culture and the fantasy world.
The 5th edition of the BANG! Festival is back and promises a diverse menu, with book presentations, chats with authors, a cosplay contest, gaming areas, arcade and board games, shows and, also, a program exclusively dedicated to young people, with activities for the whole family.

01. When and where will the festival take place?
The BANG! Festival is an initiative promoted by Vila Nova de Gaia City Council that will take place on the weekend of 4 to 6 of July 2025. There are five venues hosting the program: Corpus Christi, Armazém22, Caves Ramos Pinto, Cais de Gaia and 7G Roaster, which can be consulted in detail in the Contacts tab, located in the side menu of the website.
02. What are the opening hours?
Most of the program will run from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. However, there will be some musical performances at Cais de Gaia and Convento Corpus Christi, starting at 9:30 pm, both on Friday 4th July and Saturday 5th July.
03. Is there a procedure for accessing the festival?
The festival is free of charge. However, in order to control entry and capacity in the venues hosting the program, each participant will be given a wristband that gives access to the entire event.
Keep in mind that there are some activities that require prior registration. To this end, please consult the 2025 Poster tab, located on the side menu of the website, for more details.
We would also like to inform you that places are limited to the capacity available in the rooms, so we advise you to arrive at the sessions 5 to 10 minutes before they start to guarantee a seat.

04. Is there an age limit for access to the festival?
No, BANG! is a festival accessible to everyone, regardless of their age. In fact, this year, as in 2024, we have a program entirely dedicated to younger people, the BANG! Kids space.
05. Where can I find guest author merchandise for sale?
At the Artist Alley, which will be located in the Corpus Christi and Armazém 22 spaces, open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
