Marcelo Rubens Paiva was born in São Paulo in 1959. He is a writer, playwright and columnist, author of autobiographical and fictional works.
His best-known novel, “Feliz Ano Velho”, is a landmark in contemporary Brazilian literature. In 2022 he published “Ainda Estou Aqui”, a tribute to his mother.
